Aquavitro Remediation for Saltwater Aquariums improves water quality through bio-augmentation, a natural and non-chemical method. It contains bacteria that decompose excess food, waste, and detritus in freshwater and marine systems. Excess nutrients (e.g., ammonia, nitrates, nitrites, and phosphates) that may fuel the growth of nuisance and disease-causing organisms will also be reduced.

The bacteria species in remediation thrive in both fresh and saltwater and can consume a wide range of organic compounds, including fats, which can cause unsightly films. This bacterial blend, unlike traditional nitrifying bacteria, can adapt to harsh or low oxygen environments and continue to multiply and improve water conditions. Established bacterial colonies produce biopolymers that trap particulates and improve water clarity. The bacteria in remediation were created for use in aquaculture, where sludge and excess organics must be controlled in order to avoid disease and livestock losses. This bacterial mixture is tough enough to withstand harsh aquaculture conditions and will thrive in your aquarium.
