The Aquavitro Seed Freshwater Conditioner for Aquariums quickly and safely establishes the aquarium biofilter in freshwater and marine systems, preventing the most common cause of fish death: "new tank syndrome." Seed is a synergistic blend of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria that aid in the breakdown of waste organics, ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites in aquariums.
Competing products use bacteria that are inherently unstable. Temperatures, pH, organic loads, and other factors that are required for their growth and development fall within a very narrow range. When any of these parameters is out of range, the bacterial culture quickly crashes and dies. Seed contains no of these short-lived bacteria. The bacteria species in seed are a one-of-a-kind blend that has been specifically developed for hardiness and adaptability to a wide range of environmental conditions.
