In cats treatment with Advocate kills fleas and prevents against flea infestation for 4 weeks. Advocate also treats ear mites, gastrointestinal roundworms, hookworms, and prevents heartworm. Advocate is usually given monthly and can help in the treatment of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD). Advocate is applied to the animal by parting the fur on the neck, at the base of the skull, and squeezing the contents of the pipette onto the skin.
